What is the Music City Christian Fellowship?
The MUSIC CITY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP (MCCF) is a nonprofit organization of Christians who support Christian values in the entertainment industry. It is our desire to help fulfill the Great Commission given by Christ to reach the world with the message of God's love and forgiveness.
How did the MCCF begin?
In June 1980, a group of Country Music artists and musicians wanted to honor God with the talents He had given them by sharing their songs and personal stories of faith. They came together in prayer and fellowship. They decided to have "A singin', prayin' get-together" for the Country Music fans during the annual Country Music Fan Fair celebration (currently known as CMA Music Festival). Some 40-50 singers, musicians, writers, producers, promoters, etc. were involved in the first "Sunday Mornin' Country.®" The event was so well received that the group organized to do similar ministries all year long.
Statement of Faith
Members of the Music City Christian Fellowship must demonstrate a desire to please God by being Scripture-based, Spirit-filled, and God-led. The membership is open to all who share in our desire to promote faith, hope and love in the entertainment industry.
"Sunday Mornin' Country®"
Country and Christian Music's most revered performers fill the Grand Ole Opry House, Ryman Auditorium, or other venues with laughter, warmth and encouragement as they share their personal stories and songs. The event offers a highly visible opportunity for nationally recognized artists to take the spotlight off themselves and focus on what God has done in their lives.
Benefit Concerts
The MCCF presents a program, similar to "Sunday Mornin' Country®," of artists' singing and giving their testimonies at various locations. This event brings warmth and ministry opportunities to local sponsoring churches and communities.
Fellowship Gatherings
The gatherings are fun-filled with themes ranging from Christmas, the 50's, Western Roundups and more. These events offer great opportunities for believers in the industry to build relationships and encourage one another in their faith and careers.
Get Involved
Pray for Christians in the entertainment industry...
From the very first "fellowship meeting" in the book of Acts, prayer has played a vital role in supporting those who minister the gospel publicly. Your prayers are just as vital today!
Attend our events and fellowship meetings...
You will have the opportunity to strengthen your relationship with God and other believers in the entertainment industry AND you'll have fun doing it!
Join MCCF...
There is nothing more encouraging to a fellowship than to have people involved who are committed. You can encourage us by formally joining MCCF and getting involved in planning, promoting, and performing to spread the good news of God's love and forgiveness.
Support us financially...
In order to operate in the real world, it takes financing. The MCCF receives funds from the sale of economically priced tickets to our "Sunday Mornin' Country" concerts, and offerings given during Benefit Concerts.
The MCCF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization chartered in the state of Tennessee in 1980. This means any individual or corporation that donates to the MCCF through one time giving or long-term sponsorship, will be able to take advantage of various tax-exempt benefits that fall under this category.
Additionally, funds can come from interested individuals, such as yourself, investing in our ministries. Through your giving, you and/or your company can play a significant role in helping us reach the entertainment industry and their fans with the faith, hope, and love that only God can give!
